1. Enjoy exclusive, breathtaking views at the new “COCORU” observation deck on Mount Gozaisho. (11 May 2026)

Enjoy an exclusive, breathtaking view! Take a scenic cable car ride through the air at Mount Gozaisho
Mount Gozaisho is a mountain easily accessible from Nagoya in just one hour!
The cable car, famous for its stunning views along the way, also features “COCORU,” a new observation deck within the mountaintop garden.

The highlight is the thrilling cable car ride offering breathtaking views – perfect for sharing on social media!
Feel the mountain breeze and soak in this exhilarating experience. You can also enjoy panoramic views from the wooden observation deck!

And don’t miss the restaurant near the observation deck, Yamaue Kouen, offering adorable sweets! 🍰

How to get there
  • Get off Kintetsu train at Yunoyama-onsen Station, take Mie Koetsu bus for about 10 minutes to the Yunoyama-onsen・Gozaisho Ropeway-mae bus stop. Then, take Gozaisho Ropeway to Yamaue Kouen Station (approximately 15 minutes). From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk.

※ From Nagoya, takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. From Osaka Namba, it takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.
※ There is an additional charge for using the ropeway.

2. Go strawberry picking and explore the village of “Asuka Village”! (14 May 2026)

Journey to Asuka Village in Nara, the birthplace of Japanese culture!

Asuka Village is known as the cradle of Japanese, a capital before Kyoto and laid the foundation for Japan’s nationhood. Even today, the village retains a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of the past.

Upon arriving at Asuka Station, be sure to visit the “Asuka Bito No Yakata Tourist Information Center (飛鳥びとの館)” located just in front of the station. Here, you can rent traditional clothing and explore the historical sites as if you were a resident of Asuka from centuries ago!


Whether you choose to visit the “Ishibutai Burial Mound (石舞台古墳)” with its impressive stone mound or the beautiful “Okadera Temple (岡寺)” adorned with seasonal flowers and featuring a vibrant red three-story pagoda, every corner of Asuka offers unique and charming photo opportunities that will provide unforgettable memories from your trip.


In addition to the historical sites, Asuka is also home to delicious local treats. Be sure to try the “Ofuku-Bento” from Hagiou (萩王), a Japanese restaurant nestled in the picturesque old town. This bento box is filled with over ten meticulously prepared dishes made from local ingredients, showcasing both beautiful presentation and authentic Japanese flavors.


Another highlight of Asuka is “Asuka Strawberry Picking Park (あすかいちごがりパーク)”, a strawberry picking destination open until the end of May. Here, you can enjoy picking and tasting Nara’s famous “Asuka Ruby” strawberries, known for their vibrant red color that shines like rubies, for an unlimited 30 minutes!


Although Asuka may not be a well-known destination, it’s a place full of charm and the atmosphere of old Japan. We highly recommend adding it to your next Japan trip list!

How to get there

Take Kintetsu train from Osaka Abenobashi Station (approximately 45 minutes) to Asuka Station. From there, you can travel to the following places:

  • Ishibutai Burial Mound: Approximately 45 minutes on foot or 7 minutes by taxi.
  • Okadera Temple: Approximately 50 minutes on foot or 8 minutes by taxi.
  • Hagiou: Approximately 40 minutes on foot or 6 minutes by taxi.
  • Asuka Strawberry Picking Park: Approximately 20 minutes on foot (Open until the end of May / Activity locations vary depending on the park / ※Open only on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM).

★ We recommend renting a bicycle to explore Asuka (rentals are available in front of Asuka Station)

3. Experience the charm of “Dorogawa Onsen” (22 May 2026)

Do you know “Dorogawa Onsen” the hot spring village steeped in sacred springs and Shugendo culture, located deep in the mountains of Nara?

Take a bus from the nearest train station to this hot spring town, then transfer to ‘Dorokko monorail’ which will transport you to the wondrous underground world of Menfudo Limestone Cave. Inside the cave are stalactites and stalagmites believed to grow only 1 centimeter per 100 years, allowing you to witness the ancient formations of nature.

The streets of the hot spring town are lined with old ryokans, and as the sun sets, the light from the lanterns and windows enhances the enchanting atmosphere of this charming town.
And don’t forget to try the local cuisine featuring ingredients from the famous springs!

So, come and experience the warm and relaxing atmosphere of Dorogawa Onsen!

4. Get up close! visit marine life in Ise with ‘zero-social distancing’! (26 May 2026)

Have you heard of “Zero Distance Aquarium at Ise Sea Paradise”?
This is a unique family attraction near the famous “Meoto Iwa Rock” a landmark for making love-related wishes in Ise.

Unlike typical aquariums, you can get incredibly close to marine animals such as sea otters, seals, walruses, and even seahorses. It’s no wonder it’s become a popular spot for both children and adults!

Especially the activities like holding a sea otter’s hand or taking photos with a walrus are sure to become unforgettable memories!

So, this summer, why not visit Ise-Shima in Mie and experience “Zero Distance” with adorable marine animals? ♪

5. Make your journey even more fun with ‘Vista Car’ (28 May 2026)

‘Vista Car’ is one of Kintetsu’s most popular express trains, connecting Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, Ise-Shima, and Nagoya.

Its most notable feature is its double-decker structure. While the second-class seats are known for their stunning, unobstructed views, this time we’ll show you the equally impressive lower-decker seats!

The U-shaped sofas surrounding a large table create a feeling of a mobile living room, complete with luggage space. It’s perfect for families, groups of friends, or anyone who wants to relax comfortably during their journey!
