There are several options you can choose when it comes to transportation to Haneda Airport: train, monorail, airport limousine bus, taxi, or shared shuttle transfer. For train, monorail, and airport limousine bus, these three options will take you to central Tokyo, including Tokyo Station, Shinjuku, and Shibuya. Taxi or shared shuttle transfer will take you to where you will be staying, but the downsides of these options are the high amount of money you need to pay.

Option no. 1: taking the Tokyo Monorail

Tokyo Monorail stops at all three terminals (domestic terminals and international terminal) and takes you to Hamamatsucho Station for 500 yen only in 15 minutes. Hamamatsucho Station is probably the dullest, and the plainest stations on the Yamanote Line, but since it’s located on the central of JR Yamanote Line, you can go to other stations like Shinjuku, Shibuya, Shinagawa, or Tokyo Station easily with no-hassles.

Option no. 2: taking the Keikyu Line

The Keikyu Line trains from Haneda Airport head to two different directions, so you have to double check that you’re getting on the right one. Most trains head Northeast to Shinagawa (20 minutes away), but some of them head to Southwest to Yokohama (25 to 30 minutes away). Keikyu Line offers easy access to Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Tokyo Station from Shinagawa, and apparently it’s way cheaper than the monorail, which costs 300 yen to Shinagawa and 340 yen to Yokohama.

You can also take the Haneda Airport Express operated by the Keikyu Line, which directly connected to the Asakusa Subway Line after arriving in Shinagawa. It takes around 40 to 50 minutes to get to Asakusa and costs roughly 520 yen. The express train runs every 15 minutes during peak times, and less frequently at off-peak times.

Option no. 3: airport limousine bus

Airport limousine bus is just a coach bus that goes directly from Haneda Airport to major hotels and train stations in Tokyo and Yokohama. The bus has big trunks where passengers can store their suitcases (up to 2 suitcases per passengers).

We strongly recommend taking the limousine bus if you’re traveling with kids and or a lot of luggage. The fare of the limousine bus varies by destination, ranging from 720 yen to 1500 yen per person. Children are roughly half price.

Option no. 4: taxi or shared shuttle transfer

Some taxi companies like Hinomaru taxi offers fixed-fare airport taxi service to Haneda Airport.

The fare varies depending on your destination, and you can check the fare estimation here.

You can also use the shared shuttle service, and reserve it here.
