About Iga Ninja Village

Iga Ninja Village is situated in Iga City, Mie Prefecture, recognized as the birthplace of famous ninjas. This site has long been a hub for ninja training, tracing back to Japan’s medieval era.

Iga preserves its ancient Japanese atmosphere, including architecture, local culture, shops selling ninja-related goods, and local food, as well as various attractions that make your trip unforgettable.

And the place we’ll introduce you to today is a brand new tourist attraction that opened this August. We’ll take you to experience a new kind of adventure: ‘BANSENSHUKAI’ iga ninja Experience a thrilling adventure at our ninja training center and explore the fascinating world of ninja culture!

Enjoy the challenging ‘BANSENSHUKAI’ course!

You can choose from two fascinating courses, or you can take both!

  • 1.Ninja Knowledge Course

This course is perfect for those who want to understand concepts and philosophy of ninja through ancient ninja manuals. An audio guide will narrate the stories, take 15-20 minute walk will meticulously explore the teachings of the Shinobi way of life from pre-modern times. This course is ideal for those who love Japanese history and culture.

Activity Hours:
  • Open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (last reservation at 5:00 PM).
  • Each session lasts approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Limited to six participants per session.

Pricing Information
  • Adults (High School Students and Above) 2,000 yen
  • Children (Elementary to Junior High School Students) 1,500 yen

  • 2. Ninja Skills Training Course

For those who want to try out real ninja skills, don’t miss this course! In the Training Course: “Ninshuden Hall,” you’ll change into a cool ninja costume and explore the building’s various areas and pathways, practicing your ninja skills. The most exciting part is facing simulated situations where you’ll use your ninja skills to evade unexpected enemies! This activity is full of excitement and adventure. The entire activity takes approximately 2 hours.

  • Open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (last reservation at 3:30 PM).
  • Each session lasts approximately 2 hours (including changing time)
  • Limited to six participants per session.

For lunch, choose from a variety of delicious dishes, including Iga beef nabe hot pot, pork shabu-shabu, or, if you prefer vegetables, the vegetable nabe hot pot 🍽️. For dinner, enjoy a spectacular menu inspired by Iga Ueno Castle, which is a must-see for photos!

🚆 How to Get There

Mie Prefecture is located in the Chubu region. Iga is easily accessible from major cities like Osaka and Nagoya. If starting from Nagoya, you can take Kintetsu Railways train for approximately 1.5–2 hours. If starting from Osaka, you can take Kintetsu Railways train for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Then, transfer to the Iga Train and continue for about 30 minutes to Iga-Kambe Station, the closest Kintetsu station.

From there, get off at Uenoshi Station and walk for 2 minutes to reach your destination.
