Juicy yakiniku dinner at Toraji and instagrammable bubble tea shots at The Alley
Nov 21, 2019
We’ve been shopping for clothes and souvenirs for the whole day in Ginza, and since we’re hungry, we decided to have dinner first before we went back to the hotel.
There were many restaurants in Ginza, but we chose Toraji as we were craving for good yakiniku.
Toraji is one of the most famous upscale yakiniku chains in Japan, and this time we visited Toraji Ginza Hatchome, hoping for a great yakiniku experience.
As we arrived at the restaurant, the staff escorted us to the counter seats, and we ordered a plate of assorted beef tongue, which consists of few cuts of four different types of beef tongue.
The beef tongues were so fresh and delicious. Our favorite was the thick special beef tongue.
We also ordered the beef harami because we want something tender and fatty.
We ordered the beef harami with sauce.
The beef harami we ordered was good and fresh. Best to eat in medium-rare.
We also ordered beef tsurami, which is apparently a part of innards.
Not so many yakiniku restaurants offer beef tsurami in their menu, and this part is considered rare.
We ordered both, beef tsurami with salt and beef tsurami with sauce, and apparently we like the sauce version better.
We loved beef tsurami a lot, because even though it’s a part of innards, it doesn’t taste like innards. The texture is very similar to beef.
We also ordered sanchuu leaves so we can wrap our meat with them!
We spent 8000 yen for these, so dinner at Toraji will cost you around 4000 yen per person.
Isn’t it reasonable for a superb quality of yakiniku?

We were very satisfied with the yakiniku but we wanted something sweet, so we walked ourselves to Itocia Yurakucho to get some BBT.
BBT, yes, bubble tea.
So we stopped by The Alley, because we heard that The Alley has one of the best brown sugar bubble milk teas in Japan!
As we know that bubble tea is trending everywhere, we were lining for at least 20 minutes to get our bubble teas. A little bit longer than the usual lines, but it was alright because we love the design of the shop. Definitely a good photo spot for the gram.
So we ordered iced brown sugar bubble milk tea and medium hot brown sugar matcha bubble milk tea. After tasting both drinks, we agreed that The Alley has one of the best brown sugar bubble teas in Japan. We really loved the texture of the bubbles, because it was not overly soft or gooey. The brown sugar was not so sweet either, so you still can taste the flavor of the fresh milk and matcha. Everything was just perfect.
