Deriving from the word taberu (食べる, to eat) and houdai (放題, as much as you like), it is an all-you-can-eat set menu where you pay a set price and eat as much as you like within the time limit.

2. Hotpot at On-yasai

One of the best ways to enjoy winter is to eat shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, or hotpot, isn’t it? On-yasai is a chain restaurant that serves all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, or hotpot with quality meats and various kinds of vegetables.

The restaurant is managed by the same company that manages Gyukaku, and just like Gyukaku, On-yasai has many branches all across the country, so it would be easy for you to spot it when traveling around Japan.

On-yasai offers several different all-you-can-eat courses, ranging from 2,948 yen to 5,148 yen. The most expensive course includes high-quality wagyu cuts. The time limit for all-you-can-eat courses is 120 minutes.

3. All-you-can-eat yakitori at Torikizoku

One of the best spots to enjoy yakitori is at Torikizoku, or “Toriki”, a yakitori chain restaurant that is famous for its reasonable and delicious yakitori. Everything at Torikizoku costs 298 yen (tax excluded) only, and if you’re visiting the restaurant as a group of more than 4 people, you can try out their Toriki dinner, or “Toriki Bansankai” for just 2,980 yen (tax excluded).

Toriki dinner is an all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course that lasts for 2 hours, and you can order anything from the menu, which is a great deal.

4. All-you-can-eat sushi at Umegaokazushi Midori Souhonten

If you love sushi, you might want to stop by Umegaokazushi Midori Souhonten, a delightful sushi restaurant offering fresh sushi and great green tea in Tokyo.

The restaurant offers an all-day all-you-can-eat sushi course every Monday, which costs 3,888 yen for men and 3,240 yen for women. The course lasts 90 minutes, but due to its popularity, you might have to stay in a long line, a few hours at a time before you get seated.
