Torigoe Festival, or Torikoe Festival, is a Shinto festival that involves a portable shrine (mikoshi) procession. The scale of this festival is much smaller than major festivals like Kanda Matsuri and Sanja Matsuri, but it’s always crowded and packed with visitors every year.

The festival involves the largest mikoshi in Tokyo, which is a four-ton Senkan-Mikoshi. The main highlight of the festival is on June 11, where it starts as early as 6:30 and lasts until nighttime around 21:00. The best time to visit the festival is at night, when the festival becomes more spectacular with illuminated lanterns hung on the Senkan-Mikoshi.
