Chilling at Harajuku 201 Cafe in Harajuku, Tokyo
Dec 23, 2019
Harajuku is one of the busiest areas in Tokyo.
you might not believe that there’s a cafe in Harajuku where you can chill while laying yourself down on a sofa or bed.
Yes, you might not believe it, but actually there is a newly opened cafe called Harajuku 201 Cafe,
where you can relax and forget the hustle bustle of Harajuku.
Harajuku 201 Cafe is located on the second floor of a small building in Harajuku,
and when you entered the cafe you have to take off your shoes just like when entering a Japanese house.
Slippers will be provided, and before you take your seats, you will be asked to order something from the counter.
This time we ordered tea soda, Iced tea latte with boba, and milk tea ice cream parfait (limited edition).
All menus are priced somewhere in between 600 yen to 700 yen.
The tea soda was so refreshing and it was not overly sweet; perfect to drink after a busy day.
A lot of plush toys can be found there; you can put your drink close to them to make a photogenic shot for your Instagram.
The iced tea latte with boba was just perfect; a combination of royal milk tea with soft and chewy boba.
The milk tea ice cream parfait is a combination of pie crusts, royal milk tea soft serve ice cream, sweet potato, and boba.
Since it’s a seasonal menu, the parfait might come with different toppings when the season changes.
There is a bed to lay down; you can play with your smartphones or read some books there.
Only one bed is available, so it’s first come first serve basis. When we were there, the bed seat was empty so we decided to sit there.
A small sofa is available for chilling too.
Harajuku is always crowded, whether you visit it on weekdays or weekends.
Walking around Takeshita street will drain you out, so why don’t you visit this wonderful cafe before going back to the hotel?
