1. Sunflowers in full bloom at a park surrounding a group of ancient Japan’s tombs🌻 [ 8 Aug 2025 ]
Umami-kyuryo Park in Nara Prefecture is a park nestled in an area rich in natural beauty. It boasts the Kofun (古墳) group of ancient Japan’s tombs, considered one of Japan’s most significant historical sites. The park contains over 10 ancient tombs!
It’s also renowned for its beautiful seasonal flowers.
From late July to mid-August, over 100,000 sunflowers bloom in the northern part of the park! While they may all look similar, sunflowers come in a variety of varieties and colours. If you have the chance to stroll around the garden, you’ll be greeted by friendly smiles from the sunflowers! ♪

How to get there:
- From Kintetsu Goido Station, take the bus and get off at the Umami Kyuryo Koen Bus stop (approximately 20 minutes).
- From Kintetsu Ikebe Station, walk for about 2 minutes to the north entrance (Greenway Zone). From there, walk for about 15 minutes to the northern part.

2. 🎢Let’s head to Nagashima Spa Land this summer! 🌊 [ 14 Aug 2025 ]
Nagashima Spa Land is one of Japan’s largest amusement parks, boasting a vast area filled with a variety of rides. Thrill-seekers will be hooked! Whether it’s the “Hybrid Coaster HAKUGEI” roller coaster or the thrilling ride that’ll blow the heat away, you’ll have loads of fun. And of course, there’s a children’s play area, making this a theme park that the whole family can enjoy.
For those visiting during the summer, don’t miss the “Jumbo Seawater Pool,” Japan’s largest outdoor swimming pool. Featuring 11 water slides, a wave pool that replicates the real ocean, and the “JAPAAAAN” zone, where over 3 tons of water are splashed down from a giant water tank. Enjoy all-day fun – you won’t want to miss it! Honestly, one day is not enough!
Furthermore, the surrounding area also boasts onsen (hot springs). An outlet mall and hotel, ideal for active travellers seeking to make the most of their vacation.

3. 🦈 Visit the “Osaka Aquarium KAIYUKAN” at night 🐧 [ 18 Aug 2025 ]
Did you know that “Osaka Aquarium KAIYUKAN”, located near the EXPO 2025 Osaka venue, can be enjoyed until nightfall?
The “Night Aquarium” begins at 5:00 PM. The lights and music inside the building will change, creating a tranquil and mysterious atmosphere of the night sea. Marine creatures that once moved in the daylight will reveal a completely different perspective at night. The deep blue waters are illuminated by soft moonlight, casting a soft glow on the swimming fish, making you feel as if you’re floating in the deep.
Want to see what your favorite marine creatures look like at night? Come experience them at this aquarium after 5:00 PM! ♪
