1. EXPO 2025 OSAKA is only a month away! How about we head to Nara after the Expo? [ 12 Sep 2025 ]
The EXPO 2025 OSAKA, which began in April and is bustling with people every day, is only about a month away!
One of the most popular destinations for Expo visitors is Nara, Japan’s ancient capital. It’s easily accessible from Namba in central Osaka, just 40 minutes away, and from Yumeshima Station, near the Expo, Nara is just an hour away.
As soon as you exit Kintetsu Nara Station, you’ll be greeted by friendly deer. Nara Park is also home to many attractions, including the “Daibutsu” (Great Buddha) at Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine. 2. Experience a Mediterranean-style resort atmosphere in early autumn in Shima ⛱ [ 16 Sep 2025 ]
“Shima Mediterranean Village” is a villa and hotel nestled amidst the lush greenery of Ise-Shima National Park and overlooking the beautiful Ako Bay. Its rows of white buildings evoke a Mediterranean atmosphere.

“Shima Nature School” in Shima, Mie Prefecture, offers a variety of outdoor activities that allow you to connect with nature.
This summer, take in the serene and beautiful scenery of Ago Bay, which is perfect for water sports such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Everyone is sure to have a great time!
There are also activities suitable for children and families, including making pearl bracelets. Shima is the world’s first pearl cultivation area, and shell crafts are also available, providing fun and educational experiences for the whole family.

4. Savour a soft, new autumn cake on the “Blue Symphony” sightseeing train 🚄 [ 22 Sep 2025 ]
The Blue Symphony sightseeing train, which celebrated its 9th anniversary on September 10th, has launched a new autumn cake recipe: the “Chocolate Marron Tart.”
This fragrant, fresh-from-the-oven tart is filled with almond cream and pear sauce, enhanced with a rich, creamy chestnut cream and two types of chocolate cream. The rich, rich flavour is enhanced by the beautifully decorated top, which features a thinly glazed chestnut shell, chocolate, and candied orange zest, adding a refreshing aroma. This tart is truly full of autumnal charm.
Relax in your luxurious seat, enjoy the view through the train window, and savour this autumnal tart. Make your journey even more memorable.

5. Admire the autumn colours on the Katsuragi Plateau [ 25 Sep 2025 ]
Located in Gose, Nara Prefecture, “Katsuragi Plateau” or “The Golden Sea of Susuki Grass Fields” is one of Japan’s most beautiful natural spots. The area around Mount Katsuragi, once covered in vibrant green in summer, gradually transforms into a vast sea of golden susuki grass fields in autumn.
From the summit of Mount Katsuragi, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view. Looking eastward, you can see the Nara Plain, while the Osaka Plain is to the west. There are also tall mountains to the north and south. You can take the ropeway and enjoy the stunning scenery as you ascend to the summit. For those who want a more challenging experience, extensive hiking trails are also available.
Katsuragi Plateau is a hidden gem in the Kansai region. Everyone should definitely experience the autumn atmosphere here before anyone else!
