1. Katsuo-ji Temple

2. Hoshida Park

Hoshida Park is where the wood-planked ‘Hoshi no Buranko’, or ‘Star Swing Bridge’ is located. The bridge is known as one of the largest pedestrian suspension bridges in Japan. Situated at an altitude of 180 meters, this 280 meters long bridge offers a mesmerizing fall foliage view every year.

Hoshida Park is a popular all year round destination, but the gradation of autumn colors in fall makes this park even more special.

The best time to visit this park is from mid-November to late December. We recommend you to take public transportation instead of driving, as it will be very crowded during that time.

3. Daisen Park

Daisen Park is located near the world’s largest burial mound, Kofun Tomb. Known as one of Japan’s top 100 historical gardens, the park features a huge Japanese traditional garden, a museum, and a tea room.

There are roughly 400 cherry trees that blossom beautifully in spring, and in fall, the green grass, the blue pond, and the gorgeous color of autumn leaves create an amazing colorful sight for you to enjoy.

The best time to visit this park is from mid-November, particularly when the maple leaves turn red.

4. Mino Park

Mino Park is known as one of Japan’s 100 Best Forests, and this vast 83.8-hectare park is considered as one of the most iconic symbols of northern Osaka, offering several breathtaking focal points for tourists throughout the year.

The park is also home to Mino Falls, one of Japan’s top 100 waterfalls that is also known as one of the best fall foliage spots in Osaka, particularly for the combination of beautiful red maple leaves, stunning red bridge, and the dazzling flow of water from its 33 meters waterfall.

The best time to visit this spot is from mid-November to early December, and there is a path that takes you to the waterfall, which is around a 40-minute walk from Mino-o Station.

5. Osaka Castle
