1. Relax at Dorogawa Onsen [March 12, 2025]

“Dorogawa Onsen” is a famous river village and meditation center located at an altitude of approximately 820 meters in Tenkawa Village, Nara Prefecture. This place is considered a sacred place of Mt. Omine, which has been worshipped and has been the starting point for Shugendo practitioners since ancient times.

In winter, the view of Dorogawa River is as beautiful as a picture. The bright red bridge reflects on the clear water amidst the quiet stream. At night, the soft light from paper lanterns creates an atmosphere that makes this hot spring town even more charming and warm.

“Menfudō Limestone Cave” is located near the hot spring town. This cave was discovered about 90 years ago and is registered as a cultural property of Nara Prefecture. When you walk down into the cave and look at the scenery of stalactites and stalagmites that are said to take 100 years to grow to just 1 centimeter, you will feel like you are slowly turning into another world, as if you have stepped into a dimension different from the outside world.

3. Pokemon-themed limited express train Oshawott Liner debuts! [March 27, 2025]

The limited express train “ISE-SHIMA LINER” is a train line connecting Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Ise-Shima. This time, the ISE-SHIMA LINER has released a new theme to please Pokemon lovers: Mijumaru (Oshawott), the Pokemon of Mie Prefecture, which has become the “Oshawott Liner.”

The decorations are not just on the outside! When everyone gets on the train, they will see cute “Mijumaru” everywhere on the train! Each train’s regular seats have different designs, and the salon seats, which are perfect for groups of friends or families, are also designed with special Oshawott designs.
