1. Tasting “MaronChoco” on Limited Express “Blue Symphony” [10 Sep 2024]
The Limited Express “Blue Symphony” starts selling “MaronChoco”, an original autumn cake set
We had invited you to enjoy “MaronChoco” from Tuesday, Sep,10th on the Limited Express “Blue Symphony” on the route from Osaka-Abenobashi Station to Yoshino Station.
This chocolate terrine cake uses 70% cocoa, cocoa beans, and lightly sweetened steamed chestnuts for a rich and deep flavour. On top, there is a soft chestnut mousse, candied chestnuts and dried figs to add a variety of textures.
This cake allows you to truly experience autumn! It tastes even better when paired with coffee or tea! This menu item can only be enjoyed on the Limited Express “Blue Symphony”.
What’s more, September 10th is the 8th anniversary of the start of the Limited Express “Blue Symphony”. We want to thank everyone for your continued support by selling “8th Anniversary Commemorative Photo Frame” with a unique number as a souvenir for everyone.

2. Experience the beautiful scenery of “Akame 48 Waterfalls” [13 Sep 2024]
The weather is getting hotter! In the lastest month, we introduced some cool sightseeing spots that are easy to access via the Kintetsu Line.
“Akame 48 Waterfalls” or “Akame Shijuhachi Falls” is known as the location of the “Iga Ninja Training Grounds”.
This place is in a deep forest with a stream flowing all the time, making the atmosphere quite shady and mysterious. There are also nature trails where you can enjoy the scenery that changes each season.
In addition, there are 23 famous waterfalls out of the 48 such as Senjudaki and Ninaidaki. It is perfect for those who want to relax their minds with the negative ions released from the waterfalls.
Moreover, from November onwards, it is the season for viewing the changing leaves, so we recommend that everyone come and experience the beautiful scenery of the waterfalls and the changing leaves.

3. See a beautiful view of Ago Bay at Kirigaki Observation Deck and Kashikojima Hojoen [20 Sep 2024]
Did you know that Mie Prefecture and Shima area are very popular as a resort and leisure spot in the Kansai region?
Among the islands floating in Ago Bay that are famous for pearl cultivation, the most famous island is “Kashiko Island”. The speciality of this island is that you can see a beautiful view of Ago Bay, especially “Kirigaki Observation Deck”, which is the most beautiful sunset spot.
In addition, Kashiko Island also has a variety of accommodations to choose from, such as the Japanese-style ryokan “Kashikojima Hojoen”, which has natural hot springs and you can see a beautiful view of the sunset over Ago Bay from the garden here.
So if you visit Kashiko Island, don’t forget to see the beautiful view of Ago Bay from many spots!

- Take the Goza bus (going towards Goza) from Kintetsu Ugata Station, get off at Funako stop and walk for about 50 minutes.
- Or from Kintetsu Ugata Station, take a taxi for about 20 minutes (about 13 km).

- Take the shuttle bus from Kintetsu Kashikojima Station for about 3 minutes.
- Or walk from Kintetsu Kashikojima Station for about 10 minutes.

4. Autumn sweets are available on the limited express train “Shimakaze” on Osaka Namba Line! [25 Sep 2024]
Welcome the fall with delicious autumn sweets from the Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka chef, available on the limited express train “Shimakaze” on Osaka Namba Line.
Enjoy the sweet, refreshing taste and luxurious flavour of chives muscat grapes with the “Chives Muscat Shortcake” menu.
Next is the “Maron Cheese Tart”, a rich flavour made from mashed chestnuts and candied chestnuts, topped with fresh cream.
There’s also the “Mont Blanc”, a sweet chestnut flavour, and the “Purple Potato Mont Blanc”, decorated with purple sweet potato cream around a pear mousse, and topped with nuts for a crunchy texture.
We’re waiting for everyone to enjoy the autumn cakes while travelling on Shimakaze Limited Express and don’t miss out, because they’re only available until October 31st!
